It all started with one gloriously pointless invention: the Useless Box we stumbled upon on Amazon. A box that literally turns itself off when you turn it on — genius, right? That moment sparked something. A mix of confusion, laughter, and, strangely enough… the urge to buy it.
We (a bunch of friends who clearly had too much free time) began hunting for more of these weird, wonderful, and utterly useless products. From banana-shaped phones to USB-powered fish tanks, we found ourselves deep in the rabbit hole of internet absurdity. We shared our “finds” in a group chat — and yes, it quickly became a sport. Once someone found a new gem on Amazon, Temu, or AliExpress, it would be posted within seconds, usually followed by an avalanche of laughing emojis and the occasional “I kind of want this…”
Although many of these items are completely ridiculous — let’s face it, no one needs flashing shoelaces or a potato clock — they somehow still trigger that little itch to hit “Add to Cart.” Why? Because deep down, even the most useless things hold a sprinkle of charm, or humor, or just enough curiosity to make them kind of useful… even if it’s just to make someone laugh.
Eventually, our group chat couldn’t keep up. We lost track of all the bizarre products we’d discovered. So we created this website: partly for ourselves (to keep the collection alive), partly to entertain others, and partly to enable your next ridiculous purchase.
